Practice succession at MVZ Dermatologie im Villenviertel

Bonn. After 16 successful years, Dr Jens Würker, specialist in skin and venereal diseases, is stepping back from active patient care. On 1 October 2025 he is handing over the management of MVZ Dermatologie im Villenviertel to Dr Anne Fröhlich, who will take the practice forward along with its experienced medical team.

How it all began

Dr Jens Würker looks back on an impressive career: After his post as a senior consultant at Fachklinik Hornheide – the largest centre for skin tumours in Germany – he established his own practice in Bonn, where he has performed thousands of surgical procedures. Under his leadership, the practice has become one of the most renowned ports of call for the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers in North Rhine-Westphalia.

A secure succession plan

For many practice owners, finding a suitable successor is one of their greatest challenges – particularly at a time when fewer and fewer young physicians are willing to take on the risks of running their own practice. ‘In dermatology especially, we’ve seen for years how difficult it has become to find successors who have both the professional expertise and the courage to go independent, so I’m all the more grateful that we’ve been able to put a long-term solution in place for our practice at an early stage,’ explains Dr Jens Würker.

Dr Anne Fröhlich is an experienced specialist in skin and venereal diseases, a seasoned pair of hands taking the helm at MVZ Dermatologie im Villenviertel. She most recently worked as a senior consultant at the University Hospital of Bonn’s Dermatology Department, where she managed dermatological surgery. Dr Fröhlich brings wide-ranging surgical expertise and knowledge of medicine-based tumour therapy and state-of-the-art diagnostics.
