As part of this privacy policy, we inform you about the type, scope and purpose of the collection, processing and use of your personal data.

I. Principles

We collect, process and use your personal data exclusively in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.

Personal data is all individual information about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes, in particular, so-called inventory data such as your name, postal address, e-mail address and telephone number, but also usage data, such as information about the time of your visit to our pages, the browser you are using, and other data generated when you visit our pages.

II. Scope of data collection, processing and use

We collect, process and use your personal data only for the purpose of providing the website with information about the CORIUS Group.

The processing of your personal data is carried out lawfully on the basis of the applicable data protection regulations, and – depending on the case – specifically on the basis of your consent, a legal obligation, the conclusion of a contract with you or after weighing up legitimate interests in individual cases.

Insofar as we process personal data on the basis of consent, we will only do so as long as you do not object or revoke your consent.

For a large part of the visit to the website, it is not necessary for you to provide us with personal data. For individual services, it is necessary to provide personal data (e.g. application, contact form).

This website is not directed to anyone under the age of 16. We ask that persons under the age of 16 do not provide us with any personal information. If we learn that we have collected personal information from anyone under the age of 16, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible. If you learn that a user of our website is under the age of 16, please contact us via datenschutz@corius.de.

We would like to inform you exactly which data we collect and process about you in the following data protection information. If you have any questions about data protection, please contact datenschutz@corius.de. All contact details can be found at the end of this privacy policy.

This data will be deleted no later than 14 days after it has been collected, unless there is a suspicion of misuse or other system security errors.

This data is also generated when you access any other website on the Internet. It is not a special feature of our website.

(3) Analytics

Matomo

We use the open-source software tool Matomo (formerly PIWIK) on our website to analyze the surfing behavior of our users. This is an open-source web analytics tool. With Matomo, no data is transmitted to servers that are outside the control of Corius Deutschland GmbH. Matomo does not collect any session data without your consent.

Matomo uses cookies. These text files are stored on your computer and make it possible for Corius Deutschland GmbH to analyze the use of its website. For this purpose, the information obtained by the cookie about the use is transmitted to the server of Corius Deutschland GmbH (Karlstr. 60; 80333 Munich) and stored so that the usage behavior can be evaluated. Your IP address is an anonymous identifier for us; we have no technical way of identifying you as a registered user. As a user, you remain anonymous.

Corius Deutschland GmbH understands this analysis as part of its Internet service. In doing so, it wants to further improve the website and adapt it even more to the needs of users.

If you agree to the web analysis using Matomo, the following data will be collected when you visit individual pages of our website:

You can decide here whether a web analysis cookie may be stored in your browser in order to enable Corius Deutschland GmbH to collect and analyse statistical data.

If you have set “I don’t want to be tracked” in your browser (do-not-track activated), then Matomo will not track your visit.

Do-not-Track is a technology and a proposed policy designed to allow users to independently decide whether their behavior is tracked by websites, advertising networks and social networks.

(4) YouTube with extended data protection

Our website uses plugins from the YouTube website. The operator of the website is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Furthermore, YouTube can store various cookies on your device after starting a video. With the help of these cookies, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to our website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent fraud attempts. The cookies remain on your device until you delete them.
