Up close and connected: CORIUS Conference 2025 inspires with expertise and practical focus
Frankfurt am Main. The CORIUS Conference took place in Frankfurt am Main for the third time from 4 to 5 April 2025. This year, around 120 specialists and training assistants from the CORIUS network came together to discuss current trends and developments in dermatology. The conference, featuring 15 expert lectures, interactive workshops and an industrial exhibition, provided a platform for knowledge-sharing and networking. The conference was held at the Meliá City Frankfurt.

From oncology to aesthetics: Wide-ranging topics and pioneering insights
The CORIUS Conference 2025 covered a wide array of topics. In addition to sessions on dermato-oncology (including ‘Dermatological Oncology: What’s New?’), a light was shone on aspects of aesthetic medicine (including ‘Structure, volume, tightening: Non-invasive skin rejuvenation and decision-making tools’) and laser medicine (including ‘Confocal laser microscopy: A valuable addition in everyday practice’). The growing use of artificial intelligence in skin cancer diagnosis and aspects of occupational dermatology were also incorporated into the expert discussions.
The programme was rounded off by two outstanding guest lectures that opened up fresh perspectives and gave the audience valuable insights from external specialist fields. Cardiologist Prof. Clemens von Schacky spoke about the importance of omega-3 in dermatology, while Dr Thomas Volz presented the latest findings and developments in therapy management of acne inversa/hidradenitis suppurativa.
With the CORIUS Conference, we are making a powerful statement in our industry for professional exchange and continuous training in dermatology. The immense interest and positive response underscore the importance of such a platform for our professional community.

Expertise in action: Practical training at the CORIUS Conference
A further highlight this year were the three interactive workshops on dermatological surgical suture techniques, dermato-oncology diagnostics and dermatohistopathology offered to specialists and training assistants. Following the overwhelming success of Dr Lukas Kofler’s (MVZ Hautzentrum am Holzmarkt, Biberach an der Riß) suture course last year, the programme was expanded for 2025.
These hands-on sessions enabled participants to gain practical experience, learn the latest techniques under the guidance of leading experts, and apply them immediately. Open exchange in small groups and the immediate practical implementation make these workshops a valuable addition to the training, complementing the traditional lectures. This year’s CORIUS Conference was certified with nine credits for advanced training, underlining its high scientific standards.
Focus on innovation: Industry exhibition as a hub for knowledge sharing and networking
In addition to the scientific lectures, workshops and discussions, there was also an industrial exhibition with 24 leading companies from the pharmaceutical and medical sectors. This gave the participants valuable insights into the latest products, concepts and innovations.

The success of this year’s CORIUS Conference demonstrates just how crucial personal exchange is in advancing our field. In dermatology in particular, we benefit from interactive formats and practice-oriented discussions.
