The practice places particular emphasis on the prevention, early detection and treatment of skin cancer, including reflected light microscopy, surgical procedures and photodynamic therapy. The medical care centre also uses a particularly advanced form of skin diagnostics with innovative line-field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC-OCT). This modern, non-invasive imaging method enables high-resolution examination of the skin and is especially helpful in supporting diagnosis of skin cancer and planning treatments. Laser treatments, plus diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases such as acne, atopic dermatitis (eczema) and psoriasis, are also part of the range of services offered.<\/p>\n<p>The practice has two locations in Dortmund: one right in the centre of the city, on Marktplatz, and another branch just 250\u202fmetres away, on Wi\u00dfstra\u00dfe, with five specialist doctors and six doctors in specialist training under the direction of Dr. med. Brinkmeier and Dr. (H) Rabenhorst.
